Spring half term is almost here! With restrictions once again eased and the children about to have some very well deserved time off of school, we have made a list of some of the top activities around the country that they can get involved in during their break! Keep reading to find an attraction near you, that you and your family can participate in this spring half term.

Spring Half Term Activities in London

1 . UNIQLO Tate Play at the Tate Modern

Let their creativity flow by taking them to the Tate! UNIQLO Tate Play is Tate Modern’s a free programme that offers free art, activities and play for the entire family. This is a great way to get creative and have an exploration of art as a family.

2 . Vets in Action at ZSL London Zoo

From Saturday 12th to Sunday 20th February ZSL London Zoo is inviting children to become mini zoo vets, in a week filled with interactive family events! Over the spring half term let your children transform into junior vets equipped with hairnets and masks. They can also help experts examine, diagnose and carry out treatments on soft toy animals. There’s also opportunity to learn from the Zoo’s vets, vet nurses and zookeepers!

3 . Story Seekers at the Imperial War Museum

Available every weekend and daily from the 14th – 18th February, this free event at the London Imperial War Museum is filled with real historical artefacts. Alongside this you can experience moving stories from people of conflict, from WWI right up to the present day! A truly wonderful way for families to learn together about the history global impact of conflict whilst having a fun day out!

1 . Dino Falls Adventure Golf at Trafford Golf Centre

Located in Trafford Golf Centre, Dino Falls Adventure Golf is one of the UK’s biggest adventure golf courses. Featuring two 18 hole Jurassic inspired courses, it’s the perfect activity for the whole family, with plenty engaging obstacles and fascinating facts that should keep you entertained whilst you play!

2 . Sea Life at Manchester Trafford Centre

From February 12th to 27th Sea Life are inviting children to aid PJ Masks in defeating the Marine Mayhem, with activities including a meet & greet, and photo opportunities with characters from PJ Masks! Alongside this there is the incredible experience of discovering the underwater world and getting to see marine animals like turtles, jellyfish and sharks up close and personal!

South West

3 . Avon Valley Adventure & Wildlife Park

Avon Valley Adventure & Wildlife Park is located between Bristol and Bath and offers a wide array of indoor and outdoor play. There are also opportunities for animal handling activities and over 90 acres of land to explore!

4 . Eden Project at St Austell

Eden Project

Take your kids around the world with the Eden project this spring half term! From the Mediterranean to the rainforest, they can discover weird and wonderful plants as well as intriguing artworks and inventive play spaces.

North East

5 . Half Term Explorer Quest at Belsay Hall

Belsay Hall

A history-filled adventure to partake in this half term. This outdoor explorer quest at Belsay Hall allows the whole family to roam around the grounds and gardens whilst partaking in fun games and activities. You can also increase your knowledge with quirky facts and playful puzzles based off people from the past, making this activity both entertaining and educational!

6 . Animal Earth Programme at Centre for Life in Newcastle

At this attraction based in Newcastle children have the chance to learn all about how different animals survive in extreme conditions around the world in a new live show. With exciting activities including making their own Bug Snug and being able to try on a blubber glove in the Experiment Zone!

7 . Brick Wonders at Novium Museum in Chichester

LEGO is such an enjoyable activity for the whole family. So why not take a visit to The Novium this spring half term so that you can see their Brick Wonders exhibition, which has wonders of the world; old and new! The exhibition features a grand total of 500,000 LEGO bricks built by Warren Elsmore and his team.

8 . Windsor Castle in Windsor

Wonder what it’s like to live like the Queen? Well, why not visit one of Her Majesty’s royal residences. Being one of the oldest castles in the world, Windsor castle is full of royal history, as well as stunning gardens that can be explored. There are numerous fun-filled, half-term activities at the castle including crafting activities and workshops.
