Her Majesty The Queen, May She Rest In Peace

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Our thoughts and prayers are with the royal family at this time of great sadness.

“It is with great sadness that I learn of the death of the Queen of England, Elizabeth II. I have immense admiration for her.

She has devoted her whole life to her country, tirelessly, without trembling, with the strength and courage that is a real inspiration to us all.

She was an icon for her people, commanding respect. The English have such a special and powerful attachment to their flag, and it has played a major role in creating a unique national cohesion.

Queen Elizabeth II was globally recognized and loved, far beyond the borders of her kingdom.

I had the immense privilege of meeting her in 2017 where I was struck by her attentiveness and her involvement. Through the Queen's Award, a trophy she gave each year to around a hundred growing companies, she made a personal commitment to contribute unquestionably to the vitality of the economic world of her country. At the age of over 90, she still performed these ceremonies with admirable energy.

I wish to send my sincere condolences to King Charles and Queen-Consort, Camilla, Prince William and the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, and her children and grandchildren.”
