Welcome to Merci Maman Boutique. By browsing our website you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions, which together with our privacy policy govern Merci Maman’s relationship with you.

The term "Merci Maman" or "us" or "we" refers to the owner of the website, whose registered office is 10 rue Chabanais, 75002 Paris, France. The term "you" refers to the user of our website. Your use of this website is subject to the laws of France. The content of this page is subject to change without notice but of course while keeping it within all relevant legislation.

Term of Sale

When you place an order, you must ensure that all the information you provide is true and accurate: billing & delivery address, email address, telephone number. You acknowledge that you are the authorised user of the payment method you have placed the order with and that you have sufficient funds to cover the cost of the goods. Full payment is required before your order can be dispatched.

Prices

Prices are displayed in British Pounds on our UK website, in US Dollars on our US website and in EURO on our European websites.  You can select the currency that you prefer by clicking on the relevant country page in the top right hand corner of the desktop or if you are using a mobile or tablet, you will be able to select your preference by using the Menu tab.

If you are purchasing products in a currency different from the currency offered by your bank, you may be charged currency fluctuations and card charges by your bank which can affect the amount stated on your invoice.

Special Offers & Promotional Codes

We may, from time to time, offer discount codes, either directly or via third parties. These codes are redeemable in the ‘discount code’ box that can be found when you reach your Shopping Basket. Codes are valid on specific products and during specific time periods and cannot be exchanged. Special offers are applicable only on full-priced items and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or discount.

e-Gift Cards

You may purchase Merci Maman digital gift card to use as a means of payment for your orders, redeemed only on www.mercimamanboutique.com.

Digital gift cards are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase and cannot be extended.

Digital gift cards can be used in several instalments over the 12-month period, so you can pay in full or in part with your gift card, as you prefer.

Digital gift cards can be purchased for a fixed face value of between and .

Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash.

Cancellation Policy

If you wish to cancel your order, you must contact our customer service department at [email protected] to ensure that your order has not yet been prepared, as all orders are processed on the same day or the next working day.

If you have placed your order before 1pm on a weekday, we will endeavour to prepare your product(s) on the afternoon of the same day.
If you have placed your order after 1pm or on a Saturday/Sunday/bank holiday, your order will be prepared on the morning of the next working day.
 
If your order has already been prepared, unfortunately you are no longer able to change or cancel it.
The statutory right to cancel an order and obtain a full refund under the Consumer Protection Order 2000 does not apply to personalised items.
 
All orders are subject to availability. In rare cases we may have to cancel your order if the item you have chosen is no longer in stock. We do our best to update online stocks in real time, but sometimes, particularly during sale periods, we may only be informed that a particular item is out of stock after you have successfully placed an order. In this case, our customer service department will contact you as soon as possible to inform you of an updated delivery date, offer you an alternative solution or refund the full purchase price. We are not obliged to offer any compensation for disappointment.

Delivery & Shipping

As long as they are in stock, all items are dispatched within 48 hours of Merci Maman receiving payment, from our atelier in Paris (10 rue Chabanais, 75002 Paris).
 
We deliver your goods to the delivery address given at the time of ordering. It is your responsibility to ensure that the delivery address you have given is correct and that, if necessary, someone is available to receive or sign for the delivery of the chosen delivery service. We cannot be held responsible for parcels signed for by anyone other than the recipient.
 
If you have not received your order within 3 working days (Monday to Friday) of the maximum waiting time, please contact our customer service department by email at [email protected].
We endeavour to reply to every email within two working days and will do our best to find a solution to your problem. Please remember to check your junk mail, as our replies often appear there.

If your parcel is returned to our workshop for one of the following reasons: NPAI (does not live at the address indicated), incomplete address, not claimed or not received within the allotted time; you will be charged for the return of the parcel.

Custom Duties

Orders shipped outside the United Kingdom and the European Union may be subject to taxes, duties, customs fees and additional charges imposed by the recipients' shipping company. Payment is made by the recipient. Merci Maman cannot be held responsible for these charges once the parcel has been dispatched from our workshop. Please note that customs clearance may result in additional delays.

Warranty

Our jewellery is guaranteed for two years from the date of purchase, subject to approval of the claim by our customer service department. Please notify us of any defects within 14 days of purchase. 

Chains in which a link has broken as a result of inappropriate use are not covered by the guarantee.

Returns & Exchanges

Personalised products
Due to the nature of our products, which are personalised with your words, our items cannot be returned or refunded. However, if the item you have received does not meet your requirements or is faulty, please contact our customer service department within 14 days by email at [email protected] to discuss a solution.

Non-personalised products
If you have decided not to personalise the product and wish to return it, please contact us within 14 days to return the product.
Please note that the jewellery will be refunded at the same value as on the day of purchase. You are responsible for the cost of returning the item.

The choice and purchase of a product are the sole responsibility of the customer. The total or partial impossibility to use the product because of the metal or material does not grant eligibility for compensation or refund. This is not the responsibility of Merci Maman. Please check the metal and material of your chosen piece before purchasing.
 
Earrings
For hygiene reasons, earrings cannot be exchanged.

Fine Gold Collection

Each piece of jewellery in the Fine Gold Collection is made from genuine 750 recycled gold (18-carat), (375 for the 9-carat gold) and comes with a five-year guarantee - provided that the piece of jewellery in question has been well cared for, that the defect stems from the manufacturing process and that it cannot be attributed to the daily handling and care of the piece of jewellery.

Because of the fineness of the metal, micro-scratches are part of the appearance of real gold jewellery and cannot be considered a manufacturing defect.

Due to the personalisation of our products, which are engraved with the words you have chosen, our items cannot be returned or refunded.

However, if the product you have received is not what you ordered or is faulty, please contact our customer service team within 14 days by email at [email protected] to discuss how to proceed. Don't forget to check your junk mail, our replies often appear there.

Services

When you place an order for a service (change of bracelet or necklace braid, modification of jewellery, addition of an engraving), the order is valid for up to 3 months from the date of the order. After 3 months, if we have not received your jewellery, your order will be cancelled with no possibility of a refund.
