We are so excited and proud to announce today that one of Merci Maman’s personalised necklaces was spotted around the Duchess’s neck.
The Duchess of Cambridge was seen wearing our Personalised Charm Chain Necklace while she was shopping in Chelsea in October 2013, a few days after Prince George’s christening.
The blogosphere has been investigating for months and made assumptions about the origin of the necklace so we’re glad to confirm today that this necklace was made by Merci Maman. The necklace was sent to Pippa – a loyal Merci Maman customer – to give to her sister Catherine as a gift after the birth of Baby George.
This £89 necklace is composed of a long 18ct gold plated chain and three charms: a circular disc engraved by hand with the full name of the future King “George Alexander Louis”, a mini heart with “W” for William, and a plain boy shaped charm.
